Operational Resilience is a subject matter that is growing worldwide, led by regulators, initially in the Financial Sector and now Governments, described as:
“The ability of an organization to continue to operate and deliver its essential services in the event of an operational disruption. This can be caused by a variety of factors, such as natural disasters, technology and third party failure, cyberattacks, or human error”
Operational Resilience allows an organization to prevent, prepare, manage the response and recovery, and overcome events in a structured way that allows for resumption of operations within a business acceptable timescale.
