Volunteering with ASTI

Science is absolutely central to all our lives, and new challenges are arising every day. We all need to know a bit about them so we can make sensible decisions. A lot of research is being done by the professionals and the general public should also express their opinions. We are a group of volunteer science enthusiasts who are trying, through our Association to bring the excitement of Science, Technology and Innovation to a wider public. In doing so we require a number of like-minded volunteers to help us with our task. It can be on a ad-hoc or more permanent basis the choice is up to you. The Association has a range of volunteering opportunities available which is explained below. If you feel you can contribute your time please contact our office and speak to one of the staff about your volunteering options. Whatever your area of expertise we will be happy to have you on board with us.

    BY SUBMITTING THIS FORM, I(THE VOLUNTEER) ACKNOWLEDGES THAT I MAY GAIN ACCESS TO ASTI’S CONFIDENTIAL AND PROPRIETARY INFORMATION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, MAILING LISTS, PERSONAL INFORMATION RELATED TO HOME ADDRESSES AND TELEPHONE NUMBERS OF OTHER ASTI VOLUNTEERS, EMPLOYEES, MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS OF ASTI, INFORMATION REGARDING ASTI’S RELATIONSHIP WITH GOVERNMENTAL AND NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS, AND ITS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES (“CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION”). BY AGREEING TO BE A VOLUNTEER FOR ASTI, I AGREE THAT I WILL NOT AT ANY TIME DISCLOSE CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION TO ANY PERSON OR ENTITY WHO IS NOT AN ACTIVE ASTI VOLUNTEER, EMPLOYEE, OR MEMBER. I(THE VOLUNTEER) AGREES THAT THIS CONFIDENTIALITY PROVISION SHALL SURVIVE REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE I,(THE VOLUNTEER) CEASES (HIS/HER) PARTICIPATION IN AND SUPPORT OF ASTI.
