Introduction
The Young Inventors Challenge 2026 aims to encourage secondary school students aged 13 – 17 to cooperate as a team (2-5 students) to find innovative solutions to current day problems. YIC is an educational project focusing on the participants learning.
This is our 14th year. YIC 2026 will be conducted fully Online. The participation is totally FREE!
YIC participants would develop creative, critical and problem identification/solving skills. YIC hopes to develop future inventors/innovators who will be the positive change makers of tomorrow.

Dear Participants,
Thank you for registering to participate in Young Inventors Challenge (YIC) 2026!
To help enhance your understanding and preparation for the competition, we highly encourage all registered teams to complete the YIC 2026 Training Assessment.
A total of 6 training videos have been published and teams are encouraged to watch all the videos carefully before answering the assessment. Please note that the submission is team-based and only ONE submission is allowed per team. A Certificate of Completion will be provided to teams that successfully complete the assessment within the given time frame.
