Introduction
In the world of information technologies, the world is overloaded with information. How do we manage this overflow of information? How do we filter out the relevant news that would help develop us, both professionally and personally? Often, we worry about information that will or does not affect us. Many studies have been done that shows the dangers of overload of information, especially social media, to mental health and social cohesion.
The skill to discern and be mindful of these overload of information is an important skill that young people would need to be relevant in the new world. In this regards, ASTI is collaborating with Picture News in the UK to help develop these skills among students at the primary and secondary level.
ASTI in collaboration with Picture News UK will be conducting a pilot programme with some schools in Malaysia see the effectiveness of implementing this programme in Malaysia.

We invite your school to join our pilot program of Picture News in Malaysia. Picture News is an award winning educational program that promotes critical thinking and global awareness among students using global news events. Its resource are utilized by more than 5,000 schools in the U.K.
A free one-year subscription will be given to only 10 secondary schools on the condition that they integrate Picture News into their classroom lessons and activities and provide us with feedback.
